In our strive to support education, we have sponsored the “Be Sharp” association in Indonesia since 2018 through the support of their annual charity concert. This year, it was held on August 20th and successfully collected about IDR 1 billion/ USD 65,000. This will be used to develop musical education for children around Jakarta and expand the program in other regions of Indonesia.
Be Sharp is an NGO for music education that is focused on opening opportunities for underprivileged children to access music where they can learn, practice, and meet with people with similar interests to achieve their fullest potential. Be Sharp believes musical education can improve the capacity of children. Learning and understanding music is a unique intelligence and skill that helps a person be more disciplined and improve emotional intelligence and leadership.
This year the charity concert "Symphony of Colours" was held at Museum Macan Jakarta, West Jakarta, Indonesia. The show featured performances from 84 Be Sharp's students and various young musicians such as Iskandar Widjaja - a violinist labelled both as a "World-class-Violinist" (Stuttgarter Zeitung) and "Rockstar" (The Jakarta Post), Stephanie Onggowinoto - the pianist, Pepita Salim - the opera singer and many other art performances. Also presented at the event was actor Reza Rahadian who gave an opening speech.
"We are glad to be part of this music movement and want to stay supportive to drive campaigns and actions for young generation advancement in the locations where our business operates," said Emmeline Hambali, Group Managing Director of Dynapack Asia.
