Building a resilient manufacturing workforce requires more than technical capability. It depends on equal access to opportunity, inclusive leadership, and strong engagement with surrounding communities. At Berli Dynaplast (BDP), diversity and inclusion are integrated into everyday working conditions that support operational stability and align with Dynapack Asia’s Sustainability Targets 2030, the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDGs 5, 8, and 10. Referring to United Nations frameworks on inclusive development, this commitment also includes expanding opportunities for individuals from vulnerable groups, such as migrant workers, ethnic minorities, youth with limited access to employment opportunities, single parents, refugees, and LGBTQ+ individuals, who may face barriers to workforce participation.
One example is BDP’s commitment to disability inclusion. As of Q1 2026, five people with disabilities are employed across departments within a total of 507 direct employees. This aligns with Thailand’s Persons with Disabilities Empowerment Act B.E. 2550 (2007), which encourages organizations to employ peoples with disabilities at a ratio of approximately one employee per 100 employees or contribute to a national empowerment fund supporting disability inclusion. By providing employment opportunities across operational functions, BDP demonstrates how regulatory compliance can translate into meaningful workplace participation.
BDP also expands employment opportunities for individuals from underprivileged groups who may face barriers to entering the workforce due to social or economic constraints. As of early 2026, employees from vulnerable groups represent approximately 2% of BDP’s workforce, reflecting continued progress in widening access to stable employment opportunities and supporting inclusive participation at the local level. Strengthening workforce diversity in this way contributes directly to long-term operational resilience.
Leadership diversity further reflects this progress. As of February 2026, women represent 40% of senior leadership roles at BDP, exceeding Dynapack Asia’s group trajectory target of 32%. Strong representation of women in decision-making roles brings more balanced perspectives across operations and reinforces inclusive leadership practices within manufacturing environments.
Beyond the workplace, inclusion at BDP extends into community engagement. On 7 February 2026, employees participated as volunteers in the Walk & Run for Good Health in Support of Blind and Children with Multiple Disabilities event in Lopburi, alongside approximately 500 participants supporting 80 beneficiaries. Through participation support provided by the company, employees contributed directly to strengthening social inclusion within the surrounding community.
Dicky Nugraha, Sustainability & Corporate Communication – Group Division Head, highlighted that these initiatives reflect real progress already taking place at the plant level:
“Supporting people with disabilities, strengthening women in senior leadership, and creating opportunities for underprivileged group and the surrounding community represent important steps already taking place at BDP. Small actions at the plant level create meaningful impact across the organization”
Together, these initiatives demonstrate that inclusion strengthens workforce engagement, supports stable operations, and contributes to responsible growth across Dynapack Asia’s regional operations.
