EcoVadis is a globally recognized sustainability assessment platform that helps companies measure and improve ESG performance against international standards. For Dynapack Asia, it serves not only as an external benchmark but also as a structured framework to strengthen responsible business practices and align operations with customer expectations. Against this backdrop, Dynapack Asia continues to strengthen its sustainability governance, supported by improved EcoVadis performance and a renewed focus on subsidiary ownership. In 2025, the company achieved a Group weight EcoVadis score of 72, exceeding its target of 65 and improving from 59 in 2023, earning 3 Gold, 7 Silver, and 4 Bronze medals.
Dynapack Asia’s EcoVadis journey reflects an evolving governance approach. Between 2021 and 2023, assessments were primarily managed by subsidiaries to build early ownership and awareness. In 2024 and 2025, the Group Sustainability team strengthened coordination and documentation alignment, driving improvements in overall Group performance. In 2024 and 2025, several new sites were added to the EcoVadis assessment, including DNPA, DNTJ, DNPV, and KPSG in 2024, followed by DNES, DNTC, and VPMY in 2025.
Building on this strengthened foundation, Dynapack Asia is entering a new phase. Starting in 2026, EcoVadis ownership is being formally returned to subsidiaries, with the Sustainability team continuing to provide alignment, guidance, and quality assurance support. This transition reflects growing confidence that sustainability practices are embedded at the operational level.
To support the transition, group-wide sessions were conducted between February and March 2026, led by Yasmin Athirah, the Environmental Sustainability, involving all participating subsidiaries. The sessions introduced the updated reporting structure and strengthened readiness for future assessments through multilingual delivery in English and Bahasa Indonesia, with interpretation support for teams in Vietnam, Thailand, and China.
Yasmin also emphasized close collaboration between the Group Sustainability team and subsidiary PICs throughout the assessment process, from data collection and validation to submissions supported by clear guidance and aligned documentation. Standardized templates and supporting documents were provided to ensure consistency, improve data quality, and enable a smooth transition as ownership shifts back to subsidiaries
Returning ownership to subsidiaries reinforces accountability at the operational level while strengthening documentation readiness, responsiveness to ESG risks, and alignment with customer sustainability expectations across regions. The Group Sustainability team will continue to provide guidance, conduct periodic reviews, and ensure alignment in documentation and scoring approaches to maintain assessment quality across all entities
Following the achievement of a Group score of 72 in 2025, Dynapack Asia continues to pursue its long-term ambition to achieve an EcoVadis score above 85 by 2030, supporting its Sustainability vision to become Asia’s Most Sustainable Plastic Manufacturer through shared responsibility and continuous improvement across the organization.
