Tangerang, November 19, 2021 ----- Dynapack Asia has commissioned our first in-house solar panel facility in Lopburi Plant-Thailand, this year (2021), in partnership with Cleantech Solar. Berli Dynaplast - our subsidiary in Thailand is the first site to go live in our implementation to maximize the use of renewable energy.
We are installing approximately 1 Megawatt Solar PV in our Lopburi Plant for this first project. This long-term partnership between Cleantech Solar and Berli Dynaplast Company Limited is expected to generate approximately 71 GWh of clean energy during the system’s lifetime, amounting to a reduction of 40,000-kilo tonnes of CO2 emissions. The solar PV system will boost Berli Dynaplast’s sustainability efforts in Thailand by substituting a portion of the electricity consumption with green and renewable solar power.
Lopburi plant is focused on the production of packaging for the personal care, home care, lubricant industries, among others. Improving energy efficiencies is a critical part of our journey that we hope will significantly impact our supply chain.
The solar panel project is part of Dynapack Asia’s large-scale mission that will continue to Singapore, Malaysia, Vietnam by this year and Indonesia in 2022. We have set the goals to reduce the intensity of our emission by 5% and reduce the absolute 12% in 2025.
